2024 Maintenance Worker II Position

The City of Tonganoxie is looking for someone with exceptional skills and work ethic to join the organization as a full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker II. The position requires a high school diploma/GED and a valid Kansas Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months. No previous job experience is required. The position operates equipment and is responsible for reading water meters, street patching, snow removal, repairing water main breaks, grounds keeping, street construction, vehicle/equipment maintenance, trash/debris removal, and provides assistance in water/wastewater duties when necessary. For more information please review the attached Job Description. The anticipated starting hourly pay rate for this position is between $19.90 to $24.87 per hour, depending on qualifications.
