Welcome

Tonganoxie is a friendly little city located in Leavenworth County, in northeast Kansas, between Kansas City and Lawrence, Kansas.

We are a growing community with all the advantages of close proximity to a major urban center and a large university town. But we remain far enough removed to retain a distinctive small town flavor and attitude. The residents are friendly and quick to help their neighbors. It is common to see the townspeople turn out in force to erect new playground equipment, or to see volunteers fighting a fire or assisting our Emergency Medical Service personnel.
