The goal of Gallagher Park is to design a space similar to the rendering above. Modifications may occur due to budget. Rendering provided courtesy of BG Consultants.

Background

In 2012 Harry Gallagher, Jr., son of Margaret and Harry Gallagher, Sr., donated the land located at 301 S. Main Street to the City. For many years Margaret and Harry Sr. raised their children in a small home located on the property. Upon Margaret's passing, her children gifted the land to the City to build a public park. To honor the Gallagher Family, the City Council named the property Gallagher Park on September 2, 2014.

Any amount is acceptable and very much appreciated. All donations are fully tax deductible. You can also make a donation in honor of a friend or loved one and we will send that individual a card noting that you made a donation in their honor.

You can also participate in the Park Task Force meetings, share your ideas and help organize to make this park a reality! If you are interested in participating, please send an email along with your contact information with "Gallagher Park Task Force" in the subject line. You can also call City Hall at 913-845-2620.

Thank you for your support!
