Notice of surveying services associated with 14th Street Corridor Improvements project
In late 2025 the City of Tonganoxie entered contracts with BG Consultants, Inc. to complete a traffic study analysis and engineering design project for the 14th Street Corridor Improvements project, which is a large-scale project prioritized for funding in the City’s long term Capital Maintenance and Improvement Plan (CMIP). The 14th Street corridor is anticipated to extend from the current southern termination point of East Street near the Tonganoxie Elementary School campus to a planned intersection with US Highway 24/40 as depicted in the attached project map.
To advance the design and prepare for future coordination for construction phasing, adjacent street system improvements phasing, and evaluation of traffic improvements needed for the project the City’s contracted professional surveying services provider (BG Consultants, Inc.) will collect survey data for the design of the project. The work may include placing some survey stakes and flags in the survey area. The surveyors will be in full-size pickup trucks with BG Consultants printed on the side of the vehicle.
