Notice of Bridge Replacement Project - 4th Street Bridge between Pleasant St & Village Street

The City of Tonganoxie is contracting with King Construction Company, Inc. to complete a bridge replacement project for the 4th Street Bridge located along 4th Street between Pleasant Street & Village Street. The bridge project construction activities are expected to commence on September 23, 2024 and be completed in March 2025. All work will be completed by King Construction Company, Inc. and its subcontractors.

During the construction activities all vehicular & pedestrian access to 4th Street & the adjacent sidewalks in the areas generally east of S&S Automotive and west of Village Street will be closed until construction is completed. Road closed ahead signage and road closed signage will be installed as part of the project to help advise of the area of traffic closures. There is no specifically outlined detour route and there are multiple east/west roadway alternatives located north and south of the construction project area.
