Part-Time Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer 

The City of Tonganoxie is seeking a part-time Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer for approximately 25 hours per week. Eligible applicants should have one-three years of experience in building construction and/or inspection. A high school diploma or GED is required. Preference will be given to those who have at least one certification from the International Codes Council (ICC). Please click the above link for a full description of this position. This position is a Range 7 with compensation starting at $16.70 per hour.

For positions requiring college education as part of the minimum requirement and/or an equivalency, the minimum education requirement is high school graduation. The requirement of "high school graduation" also includes the state-issued GED certificate.

Unless otherwise stated, the requirement of "an accredited" degree includes only those degrees obtained from colleges or universities listed with the U. S. Department of Education and recognized by the U. S. Secretary of Education.

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless otherwise specified.
