Water Meter Replacement Map

In an effort to increase accuracy of aging meters, the City has invested in upgrading its water meters citywide. For some residents, this means a complete replacement. For others, it will be a retrofit of the existing meters to work with our new billing system. New meters will replace the older manual read meters in portions of the City where manual read meters exist.

Those with new meters will see a change in their City utility bill in the coming months. Due to the requirements of our billing system, these customers will receive a partial, 15 day bill the month after their meters are replaced. The following month they will receive a bill that will include usage from the previous 45 days. After the two transitional months, billing will return to a standard 30 day cycle.

Click on the map above to see the replacement schedule of meters city-wide and whether or not your neighborhood will be affected by the change in billing.

Please note: this map is meant to be a general indication of where new and retrofitted meters exist in the City. There are some homes within the retrofitted (unaffected) areas that will receive new meters. Those residents will be notified by mail regarding the change in billing. Likewise, there are residents within the replacement (affected) areas of town who will have retrofitted meters. Please use this information as a guide only. If your residence is affected, we will mail a letter to your home with the first truncated utility bill.

We appreciate your patience as we upgrade our water meter system. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact City Hall at 913-845-2620.
