City of Tonganoxie Spring 2018 Civic Academy

For the first time in spring 2018, The City of Tonganoxie will be introducing its pilot program for a Civic Academy Program! This program aims to better inform the public about the various departments, services, and facilities that are offered by the city. Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to understand the city’s responsibilities, have a refined sense of community in relation to local Tonganoxie pride and knowledge.

The program will take place once a week on the last Wednesday of each month.

The program is free to all Tonganoxie residents, however, limited class sizes require an application process to gain acceptance. The sessions will vary week to week and will feature new lessons and separate departments to tour and learn from across the city like the City Hall, City Council, the Police Department, the Fire Department, and Public Works.

Who May Apply: Any resident of Tonganoxie, Kansas aged 18 or over.

How to Apply: The Civic Academy online application remains available for completion on an on-going basis.

Deadline to apply for the spring Academy is February 9th, 2018.
